With over a decade of experience in building design throughout Muskoka, my approach is rooted in a simple belief: the most meaningful homes are shaped by the people who live in them and the landscape that surrounds them.
Every project begins with listening. Understanding how you live, how your family moves through a space, and what matters most to you informs every design decision. From the overall form of the home to the smallest details, each element is considered with the intention of creating something distinctive, enduring, and deeply personal.
In Muskoka, the landscape is never simply a backdrop. The shoreline, surrounding forest, natural contours, and changing light all play an essential role in shaping a home. Every project begins with discovery. After the initially discussion we will send you a questionnaire to share your ideas, priorities, and aspirations, helping us develop a design that responds to your lifestyle, your site, and your long-term goals.
This is the fun part. Every project begins with understanding the unique character of your property. Through thoughtful planning and design development, we explore layouts, materials, and architectural details to create a cohesive design that reflects your priorities, works with the natural landscape, and feels distinctly yours.
With the drawings prepared, the next step is navigating the permit process. The required documentation is assembled and submitted to the authorities for review, with support provided throughout the approval process to help address comments and keep the project moving forward.
With the design established, the next phase translates the design into a coordinated set of drawings for permitting and construction. Detailed plans, elevations, and specifications.
Our involvement doesn’t end with permit approval. We remain available throughout construction to answer questions, clarify details, and help ensure the original vision is carried through to completion.
